Birth of Long-Yue

On his life quest in searching for the finest taste, Frank Liu, the founder of Long Yue, has brought a variety of world class dining sensations to Taiwan by inviting legendary Chefs around the globe. Each cuisine, dish, and ingredient are carefully selected with flavor combinations that linger in mind and bring excitement to one’s palate. The same feeling intensified when Frank took a bite of the succulent Barbecue pork prepared by Chef Chit-Ming Kan back in 2018. Without any hesitations, Frank knows it is destined for him to invite Chef Kan to Taiwan to introduce the spirit of authentic Cantonese cuisine. From there, the seed of Long Yue was planted.

After three years of endless meetings and obstacles to overcome, finally Long Yue was born from a concept to reality. We are proudly to present Long Yue – a fine dining restaurant offering classic Cantonese cuisine at affordable price.

Culinary Director, Kan, Chit-Ming

Fascinated about the world of gastronomy, at the age of 14, Chef Kan had made one of his biggest decisions in life by stepping into the kitchen of Fook Lam Moon, the icon of Cantonese cuisine in Hong Kong. After years of training under the mentorship of the legendary Chef An Luo, Chef Kan has perfected his skills and knowledge and established his own style of cooking. His efforts and talent are recognized as he worked his way up from an apprentice to the Executive Chef at Fook Lam Moon.

During Chef Kan’s 60 years of career, he has won countless titles and rewards. Some achievements are earning City Garden Hotel Hong Kong one Michelin Star in 2008 and Canton 8 Shanghai two Michelin Star in 2016. Canton 8 still maintains the honor under the lead by Chef Kan.

Executive Chef, Wu, Fook-Chun

With more than 40 years of experience, Executive Chef of Long-Yue, Chef Fook-Chun Wu has worked as the Executive Chef in various fine dining restaurants including Fook Lam Moon Hong Kong and Japan, and Jin Yan China. Chef Wu’s cooking philosophy is to showcase the natural flavor of the ingredients. Let the foods speak for themselves with just the right amount of condiment. He also set a very high standard on the quality and will not compromise things that are not at the state of perfection.

Led by Chef Kan and Executive Chef Wu, seasoned chefs including Executive Sous Chef Chang, Dim Sum Chef Wong and BBQ Chef Ren, are invited to join forces and form an elite team at Long Yue. Each chef is the best of the best in the respected field.

Overlooking the beautiful city view of Dazhi, Long Yue is located on the second floor of the Chun Place shopping mall just 5-minute walk from MRT Jiannan Road Station. The restaurant is crafted with contemporary minimalism with touches of oriental essence. The spacious open dining area offers guests a relaxing and comfortable ambient for casual gatherings. The four private rooms, which may seat up to 46 guests, are perfect to cater special events.
